Configuring Existing Mozilla Thunderbird account to access Softcom Mail Powered by Google:
* Open Thunderbird.
* Click the Tools menu, and select Account Settings...
* Expand the tree that has your existing Softcom Email account
* Highlight the Server Setttings menu
* Make the following changes:
Server Name: pop.gmail.com
User Name should be your full Email address (ie: johndoe@softcom.net instead of johndoe)
Under Security Settings, make sure SSL is selected
Remove the check next to"Use Secure Authentication"

* Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP)
* Click the "Add" button
* In the SMTP Server window, enter the following:
Description: Softcom Gmail
Server Name: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Under Security and Authentication:
Make sure the checkbox next to "Use name and passsword" is checked
User Name should be your full Email address (ie: johndoe@softcom.net instead of johndoe)
Make sure "SSL" is selected under "Use secure connection":
Click OK

Click on your Softcom mail account item in the left hand side of the window

In the following box, make sure all personal information is correct. Make sure email address is correct.
Make sure that in the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" box, "Softcom Gmail" is selected.
* Click "OK".
Congratulations! You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve Softcom Mail powered by Google messages.
