Configuring Existing Outlook 2003 account to access Softcom Mail Powered by Google:

* Launch Outlook 2003

* Click the Tools menu, and select E-mail Accounts

* Click the button next to "View or change existing e-mail accounts"

* In the E-mail Accounts window, click on your existing Softcom mail account, and click on the "Change" button

* In the next window, you need to change the following settings:

Incoming mail server (POP3) should be pop.gmail.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP) should be smtp.gmail.com

User Name should be your full Email address (ie: johndoe@softcom.net instead of johndoe)

Password should be the password for that account

* Click on the "More Setttings ..." button

* Click on the "Outging Server" tab

* Enable the checkbox in "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"

* Make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is the option selected

* Click on the "Advanced " tab

* Check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" under Incoming Server (POP3).

* Check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) under Outgoing Server (SMTP)", and enter 465 in the Outgoing server (SMTP) box.

* Click "OK".

* Click "Test Account Settings..." After receiving 'Congratulations! All tests completed successfully', click "Close".

* Click "Next", and then click "Finish."

Congratulations! You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve Softcom Mail powered by Google messages.
