Configure Email
Netscape 4.5/4.7
  • Click the Start button.
  • From the Start menu, point to Netscape Communicator and choose Netscape Navigator.

  • From the menu bar, click Edit and choose Preferences.
  • From Mail & Groups click the Identity link.

  • In the Full Name text box, type your name.
  • In the Email Address text box, type your Softcom username, followed by @softcom.net. For example: username@softcom.net

     
  • From Mail & Groups click the Mail Server link.

  • In the Outgoing Mail Server text box, type smtp.softcom.net.
  • In the Outgoing mail server user name text box, your username
  • Use Secure Socket Layer, a check should be next to Never
  • Incoming Mail Server: will have a name. If it is blank, proceed to step 18, otherwise click on edit

  • Click on the General tab.
  • Server Name: pop3.softcom.net
  • Server Type: POP3
  • Username: username

  • Click Ok
  • Click on Ok again to close the window.


  • Click on Add.

  • Server Name: pop3.softcom.net
  • Server Type: POP3

  • Click on the POP tab.

  • Click on OK
  • Click on OK to close the screen.
