Brief Description:
The Rock debuts as Rocky Maivia. After a lame babyface push that the fans weren't buying at all, the WWF gave up and finally turned him heel as he joined the Nation. This would launch The Rock into a big feud with Steve Austin in late 1997. Rock would add some classic catch phrases and the rest is history.
Brief Description:
After a face tease, The Rock would join Vince's Corporation and have classic matches and feuds with Mankind and Steve Austin before the WWF turned him face and into a mega-star.
Brief Description:
The Rock's popularity continues to rise as he teams up with Mankind for some well-known segments such as "Rock, this is your life!"
Brief Description:
The Rock proves that he is the most popular star of 2000 as he continues to entertain the millions and millions of fans and continues his historic battle with Triple H while starting new ones with Kurt Angle and more. His interviews and abuse of Kevin Kelly, well who can forget those?
Brief Description:
As 2000 rolls on, so does The People's champion. The Rock completes his best year (2000) and dips into another great one, 2001. The Rock gets involved with Steve Austin, Rikishi, Kurt Angle, and many more.
Brief Description:
After Vince McMahon and Steve Austin screw The Rock at Wrestlemania 17, Rock takes time off to kick off his Hollywood career but would come back to take the WWF on top over the Alliance and start a great feud with Chris Jericho, which was about 2 years over due. His continued assult on the announcers like Kevin Kelly, Michael Cole, The Coach and others become classics.
Brief Description:
Dispite coming out on the short end of his war with Chris Jericho, The Rock would still prove that you can't stop, can't stop The Rock as he has an absolute classic interview with Steve Austin before Survivor Series 2001 and who can forget his match with Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 18?
Brief Description:
This tape truely has everything and is the main reason why I went up to 8 tapes of The Rock. After the Rock has his problems with the nWo and makes nice with Hulk Hogan, The Rock would come back to take on Brock Lesnar. Again the Rock would leave for Hollywood and movies, but once he came back, he became more popular than ever, this time as "the Jabronie beatin' Pie eatin', trail blazin' eyebrow raise'n" Heel. After more time off for more movies, The Rock would return mostly for cameo appearances and it appears as of now, his full time WWE days are over. This is one of my favorite compilation tapes to watch.
