Brief Description:
The Rock debuts as Rocky Maivia. After a lame babyface push that the fans weren't buying at all, the WWF gave up and finally turned him heel as he joined the Nation. This would launch The Rock into a big feud with Steve Austin in late 1997. Rock would add some classic catch phrases and the rest is history.

  • Rocky Maivia Interview- His first real interview hyping up his match at Survivor Series. The WWF was ready to push him early. Right guy, wrong character. (Survivor Series 1996)

    - - The Rock Compilation Tape Volume 8 - -
    Running Time: Approx 8 Hours
    March 2002 - End of 2003

    Brief Description:
This tape truely has everything and is the main reason why I went up to 8 tapes of The Rock. After the Rock has his problems with the nWo and makes nice with Hulk Hogan, The Rock would come back to take on Brock Lesnar. Again the Rock would leave for Hollywood and movies, but once he came back, he became more popular than ever, this time as "the Jabronie beatin' Pie eatin', trail blazin' eyebrow raise'n" Heel. After more time off for more movies, The Rock would return mostly for cameo appearances and it appears as of now, his full time WWE days are over. This is one of my favorite compilation tapes to watch.

  • Hollywood Hulk Hogan/The Rock/Kevin Nash/Scott Hall Interview- The Crowd is going nuts for Hogan, just like they did last night at WM. Rock is getting some good heat, a sign of things to come. Hogan rips off his NWO shirt as Nash feels Hogan turned on him and Hall. "Big Daddy Cool it's more like Big Daddy Bitch" - Rock. (Raw: 3/18/02)
  • Kevin Nash and Scott Hall vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan and The Rock- Match ends on a countout. Lame. Use countouts to end one on one matches where you don't want someone to lose cleanly, but not in tag matches. But then again, there wasn't much time for the main event so they had to think of something quick. (Raw: 3/18/02)
  • Kevin Nash vs. The Rock- First and only match up between these two. Big brawl breaks out at the end when Hulk Hogan runs down to fight off Hall and Nash but then comes X-Pac who has been MIA for a while and nails Hogan with a chair. Then the nWo beat him up some more. (Smackdown: 3/21/02)
  • Kurt Angle/Chris Jericho/The Rock Interview (Raw: 4/4/02)
  • Chris Jericho vs. The Rock (Raw: 4/4/02)
  • The Rock Segment (Raw: 4/29/02)
  • The Rock Highlights (Smackdown: 5/2/02)
  • Vince Interview with "HE"- So who is "he"? He = the return of The Rock after being out for a couple of months. Rock appears a little rusty after messing up one of his first lines, "I'm the 'Jabroni eatin', Pie beatin.. eatin.." yeah yeah, way to go Rock. Rock talks about the mistake that Steve Austin made by walking out on the WWE. I thought Rock was a Smackdown guy?(Raw: 6/17/02)
