                tip: No driving game rewards you so much
                for braking so early. Brake early for the
                corners, get her settled down, and come out
                hot. It will get you steaming down the next
                straight.

                tip: The default setup always gives you great
                straightline speed. Keep this in mind when
                you're in the garage, and "de-tune"
                accordingly.

                tip: Races are short and pit stops oddly
                plentiful, so go with soft, "fast" tires
                because you'll have lots of chances to change
                them.

                tip: As a sort of built-in penalty for going
                the easy route, shift points are horribly
                delayed on automatic trannies. Add in the
                fact that manual transmissions can also be
                used as brakes, and it's obvious which route
                to go.
