The evil orcs and noble humans are raging war once more and this time over land, sea, and air. Warcraft 2 is a real time strategy game made by Blizzard Entertainment. There are two campaigns to choose from each with about 14 scenerios. The scenerios are fairly challenging and provide many hours of gameplay. You usually start each scenerio with a small base. You then must manage 3 resources, gold, wood and oil. When you have enough resources, build up your base defences and then prepare to attack. There are many units to choose from including knights, mages, orges, battle ships and one of my favorites, dragons. Many of the units can also be upgraded. For example, when you build a battle ship you can upgrade it's armor and shot power. A troll axethrower can be upgraded to a troll beserker which can be upgraded even more. The battles can get to be very intense in certain situations espicially when you load up transports with troops and invade the enemy lands. The AI is fairly good but at times the computer does some really dumb things.

One of the coolest things about Warcraft 2 is the multiplayer options. You can "spawn" the game onto your friends computer so that they can't play any of the campaigns or scenerios but can play you over modem, LAN, or direct connection. Warcraft 2 also comes with a scenerio editor which can only be used with Windows 95. You can create you own maps and how many units each player starts out with. You then can customize the cost of each unit, there hit points and time to build just to name a few.

Overall Warcraft 2 has great graphics, challenging gameplay, a very cool scenerio editor, and excellent multiplayer options. The only drawback I can think of is the AI which is still good but not perfect. 5 out of 5 demons.
