Diamond in the Patty Award

Putting a website together is hard work and maintaining it is even more difficult. There are a lot of websites out there similar to ours that are put together by people just like us.  Ordinary Joe's, not some super conglomerate company that pays people big bucks to design fancy sites for them. We think it's time that these Joe's were recognized for their hard work and commitment. This is why we created this award.

So if you're interested in submitting a website, either your own or someone else's, for consideration to be awarded the HIGHLY coveted (a small amount of exaggeration there) Diamond in the Patty Award, here's how you do it.

In order to be considered, the website you are nominating must meet the follow requirements:

It can be a site that reviews movies (like us), or restaurants, videos, books, other websites, whatever. It must include some sort of rating system. We encourage unique rating systems but they aren't a requirement.

Sites that are filled with banners, broken links, confusing layout, too many graphics, or are slow in loading should not be submitted and will not be considered. A good website should load fast, have graphics that are appropriate to the subject, and should be easy to navigate.

There are many good sites that are in languages other than English. Unfortunately we can't tell because we only speak English.

Although not required, a submitted website that was created and/or is being maintained by a regular person, as opposed to a web design company, will receive a higher ranking by our reviewers. This means a greater chance of an Ordinary Joe receiving the award over a large company.

There are thousands of websites popping up everyday.  Some have a purpose while others are just someone experimenting and trying to learn more about designing. We respect that but to win this award your site will have to be something that WE find interesting.

That's it. Pretty simple right? If you think you have a site that meets these requirements then all you have to do is fill out the submission form.

It will take about a week (subject to change depending on volume of submissions) to review the site and get back to you.

What are you waiting for?
