My Opinion on the Top Ten Wrestlers
Date: November 1998

1. Ken Shamrock
He is the man. The world's most dangerous man. He has more moves than Hulk Hogan has years. He seems to be getting better every wrestling match. He could be the cornerstone of WWF. A real fighter and fun to watch. He can kick any other wrestler's ass. Ken is the reason I started watching wrestling again. He is obtaining more respect from fans too. When he goes berserk--watch out! I will admit he needs to work on his microphone skills.

2. Mick (Michael) Foley
He is the Jackie Chan of wrestling. He will kill himself to entertain you. With his three personalities: Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love, he has shown that you do not have to be in shape to be a good wrestler. He is a good interview, takes more punishment than any other wrestler, and has good gimmicks. One word -- Socko!

3. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
The most popular wrestler today and WWF's World Champion. I wish he wrestled more. A wrestling enigma. I hated him as "stunning", as the "ringmaster", and now I like him. The biggest popularity juxstaposition in wrestling history. He is not the greatest wrestler, but is a good brawler. He is constantly involved in WWF's best gimmicks.

4. Rocky Maivia
He is a good speaker and a great bad guy. He has medium to good ring skills and is the best heel since--I cannot remember. He has the best facial expressions. People love to hate him, that is why I like him. His demeanor reeks of dweebdom. Another ex-collegiate football player turned wrestler. He seems to have some intelligence though. Ever notice that "intelligent" wrestlers are always hated. Thank god he is a heel again. He is the corporate champion. Still love that people's elbow.

5. Steve Blackman
Where did they find this martial artist? He was previously employed by the WWF, but caught malaria and almost died. He has improved his ring skills with his tremendous work ethic. Looks like a Street Fighter character. He has the best kicks in the entire WWF. He has shown that he can use weapons too. Look for him to climb in popularity. I am still mad that he has lost to JJ and Mero recently. Convincingly beat Mero in the Brawl for it all.

6. The Edge
Adam Copeland is a great wrestling talent. In the future he could be the next Shawn Michaels. I like the Brood, he used to be in a tag team with Christian Cage, but I am not sure it is in the best interest of Adam. He has great ring ability and presence. I have no idea about his speaking skill.

7. Dan Severn
Yes, I am a marital arts and UFC fan. But Severn has shown a multitude of mat skills. Was a bright spot in an otherwise bad NWA angle. It was great when he was in a suit and then dismantled the Head bangers. His no-nonsense approach to the ring is interesting. We should see a future fight between him and Shamrock. Should remain silent.

8. 2-Cold Scorpio
Old name, still jobbing. The most underrated wrestler in the WWF. He is in desperate need of a push. A tremendous athlete when his weight is under control. Got rid of the tacky Flash Funk gimmick and will hopefully be given more respect. Why sign Regal when you have an athlete like this? Still no matter how much 2-Cold and Blackman jobs I will still like them.

9.Taka Michinoku
Like most of WWF's light-heavyweights, he does not get enough respect. This high flying wrestler from Japan has emense talent. The most awe inspiring and exciting wrestler, except for Shamrock, in the WWF. Moved into ninth place, with less wrestling and a stagnant LH division. If only he could speak English and he is working on that. Too bad we hardly ever see him on Raw.

10. Bradshaw
One of the better stiff wrestlers. This Texan can knock your head off with the Clothesline from hell. The BJ cowboys were not bad wrestlers, they just seemed kind of gay. But Bradshaw is an impressive singles wrestler. Has proved he can be a good mid-carder. I hope this Remember that Bradshaw has worked in Japan.

ON THE BUBBLE -- POSSIBLE TOP TEN'ers for NEXT MONTH: Owen Hart, or Al Snow or The Blue Blazer.

TOP TAG TEAM New Age Outlaws: Bad Ass Billy Gunn and Road Dog Jesse James
While DOA has made great strides as a tag-team and the disbarment of the Hardcore Legends, the New Age Outlaws are the best tag-team around. You have the microphone skills with Road Dog and the brawn with Billy Gunn. As individuals they were expensive jobbers, now they are superstars. They have shown that they do deserve the tag-team belts and will keep them for a long time. I do not see anyone beating them.

TOP CLIQUE The Brood
My previous choice was DX. Now I love these past indy wrestlers who work well together. They consist of Gangrel (Luna's Husband), The Edge (Adam Copeland), and Christian (Cage). All three have a lot of talent. Gangrel's microphone skills appear to be a little weak.

TOP WRESTLER FROM ANOTHER ORGANIZATION (aka WWF sign this guy)
Rob Van Dam

One of the most gifted athletes in ECW.
