Get Together's
Madelyn Iden recalls
how the "Quarterly Get Together's" started. About 20 years ago (maybe it was 25
or 30) the Committee for the Reunion Dinner Dance, met after the big Party to discuss how
to do better the next time. The Committee enjoyed the meeting so much, that they decided
to go out for dinner several times a year. There were 12 at that time, but anyone could
join if they were a '42er or a spouse of the same. The "Get Together's" grew
until no restaurant could hold them. They average about 100 now. So it was decided to go
to "A Smorgy" in January, "Mooney Grove Park" in May and "Iden's
Ranch " in October.
Another bit of Trivia for those that don't know. VUHS is now Redwood High School.
It has a new face, so you would never recognize VUHS.
