DJ Valador Persians

Welcome to Donna Valador's web page!

I've always loved cats and kittens.  I grew up on a ranch in the San Joaquin valley and had many feline friends.  I've always loved longhair kittens.  I would take them from the barn and make them housecats.  I got my first Persian at the age of 7.  She was a tortiseshell and had a long nose.I named her "Blackie".
I got interested in showing Persians after I became close friends with my dermatologist, Dr. Jane Kardashian.  She specializes in smokes, shaded and solid Persians. She got me into showing cats in CFA and taught me all about grooming and presentation.  My first grand was Daria, a solid tortie.  As a team,  we showed Persimmon Ice, our number two national breed win. We granded GC Palmetto Dragonfire, who is now happily breeding in South Africa in the home of Christelle Horne. Thank you Pat Lichtenberg!

In the quest for ever better cats, Carol Graff and I exchanged breeding males for a while. Midas Desert Storm of Duetcatz has sired three very nice kittens with JFK Hyecats Ebony of DJ Valador.

Last Year(2007) I gave a spay, DJ Valador Lady Marian, to be shown in Junior Showmanship.  The maintenence of a show Persian proved too challenging for the family, so I took her back.  After some coat rebuilding, Gary Spina decided he wanted to try showing her.   He put on a CFA show in Madera, California, and  Lady Marian  got 4 Best Cats.  We jointly showed her throughout the rest of the show season and made lots of friends.  Lady Marian is 8th Best Premier in the CFA Northwest Region for the 2007-2008 show season.  Lady Marian also was 2nd Best of Color nationally.
