Dean is known as a trainer of trainers. Some of the greatest men and woman trainers in today pleasure horse show ring successfully practice his unique method of teaching their horses to take commands from your legs instead of your hands. This enables your horse to have a more consistence, prettier and happier winning performance. His training method controls your horses head, speed and position in any riding performance class.

Below, Dean is demonstrating his training methods on one of our Pleasure Champion breeding stallions, "Glow Natural". His gait is at the lope and without a bridle. Dean is asking his horse to turn in a left circle by using his leg cues only. Notice the control of the horse's inward turn of his nose. Thus turning the circle that is being asked of him. This demonstrate showed what a Champion Western Pleasure show horse does in show competition. The walk, jog and lope with correct leads were used. Smooth transitions between gaits, extending gaits, reversing direction, stopping and backup. All completed without an aid of a bridle.

Dean has been training and showing horses for 35 years. He specializes in Quarter Horses, Paint Horses, & Appaloosas. I have even seen a few Arabians. He holds Judging Cards in 6 different Breed Associations. Judging Breed Shows, World Shows and Major Futurities for: (AQHA) American Quarter Horse (NSBA) National Snaffle Bit, (APHA) American Paint Horse, (IBHA) International Buckskin Horse, (PHBA) American Palomino Horse, (POA) Pony of American.
