 1. Notify Hodges Ranch of your veterinarian's/agent's name, address and telephone number who will be performing the insemination on your mare. The express address where you want the cooled semen shipped. At this time I will research the best shipping options and send you a pre-shipping-bill. Unless shipped by C.O.D. We suggest FedEx overnight, inexpensive and reliable. You may want to insure your shipment. 2. All remaining fees are paid in full, either by check or cashiers check that has cleared our bank. Semen is not shipped unless paid. Make checks payable to Dean or Bobbie Hodges. 3. Have you or your veterinarian/agent contact us twice. A. The first day your mare shows signs of heat. B. Date when you want the semen shipped. 4. Call us by 6:00 PM (Central) the evening before the date for shipping, to order semen. A. You can cancel the shipment up until 7:30 AM (Central) on the day of shipment without any penalty. We will collect our stallions any day, with notification out lined in our procedures. As long as mailing service is available. Note: Sunday shipping may not be available. 5. DO NOT OPEN YOUR SHIPPING CONTAINER until your veterinarian/agent is present and ready to inseminate! Shipment contains two bags of semen for insemination during the same heat cycle, do not warm semen before insemination. 6. Notify us when your mare is in foal. We recommend an ultrasound examination at approximately 16-18 days, again at 30 days. 7. Enclosed in your shipping container you will find the AQHA/APHA paperwork. Please fill out completely and mail back the respective parts accordingly. Your shipped container is disposable. 8.
