This gallery contains images from various interior photo sessions using both natural and studio lighting. Typically, these images are tightly framed and often consist of figure-scape studies. They are simplified compositions, emphasizing the shape and form of the female figure.
Perhaps my favorite place to create photographs is along the coast. There is an abundance of scenic backgrounds, each with it's own contributory feeling to my imagery. The coast includes the element of water which reocurrs often in my art.
Living along the northern coast of California I am blessed to be near ancient redwoods. These forests provide a wealth of locations to photograph. The forest has it's own mysterious presence and I revel in the opportunity to enter it, explore, and come away with images that reflect the mystery and reverence found there.
I am fascinated with how the human body is used as a canvass for art. This gallery presents imagery from my ongoing Body Art project. My goal is to present this body adornment in a respectful fine-art manner.
