We are all given birth into the predicament of life.  This sudden entrance into physical reality begins our teaching.  It represents an opportunity to awaken, to come to know who we really are, to discover the connection with our creator.  All of life becomes an instrument for getting there; marriage, family, school, job, play, travel--all of it.

We look around and we find we have a whole set of relationships.  Some were set at birth, like family, and others are acquired during life's activity like marriage.  To be successful at finding out who we really are we must be honest with ourselves about where we are.  To hear how it all is, we must be open to it, we must listen carefully from the quiet of our minds.

It is a fallacy to think that we're going to know our creator by changing the form of our lives.  It isn't the form that's the game, it's the nature of the being that fulfills the form.  It's how we perform our individual roles in life.  Each of us has a different path through life.  No path is any better than any other path; they are just different.  We must honor our own path.

Individuals functioning totally in terms of lust, greed, fear, and personal agendas of the minds are just lost.  Once a being awakens to the point of becoming aware of his predicament, then one's life style isn't different from another.  It's just all grist for the mill of life.  Then one takes it as it comes down the pike and works with it.  There is no form that in and of itself is closer to our creator.  All forms are just forms.  Each individual has his or her own unique predicament; each individual must listen carefully to hear his or her own drama.  We have to listen to hear what our trip through is, moment by moment, choice by choice.

We mustn't lay trips on others.  We exist individually as a statement of our own level of evolution.  The best we can do is become an open and free environment for every person we meet.  Whatever our roles in human relationships, the game is always to create a space with our own love and openness.  With a closed heart we cannot come into the flow of the Universe.

We must listen very deeply within ourselves.  We are continually making choices that boil down to going either in the direction of the harmony and flow of the Universe or going against it.  The journey is based on total honesty with ourselves.  The whole spiritual journey is a continuous falling on our faces.  We get up, brush ourselves off, and get on with it.  If we were perfect, we wouldn't even be on this journey.  We make errors; we correct them if we can without hurting another being's spiritual opportunities.

Listen inward and be honest.  We may not even know what to listen to.  There are dozens of voices saying: "Listen to me, I'm the one."  All these noisy voices are vying to be center stage.  But keep listening, searching for the still small voice within.  If we listen deeper and quieter, the clearer will we hear our drama and its flow.
