Feedback: Evolution is only one explanation of several necessary to understanding physical reality. Random mutation and natural selection are there, but are not sufficient to explain all form. The continual attempt in biology to reduce form to molecular composition just doesn't work either. The explanation of developing form is not solely located in the genes. Instead of a one-way transfer of genetic information, there is a whole network of feedback information on interrelationships between organism and environment. Heredity does not reside solely in the DNA. It is a property arising out of interrelationships. Biological forms are a result of what comes naturally from the dynamic properties at work between developing organisms.
DYNAMIC RELATIONSHIPS
It is not sufficient to know the molecular composition of living structures to explain form; it is necessary to understand the organizing principles, the dynamic relationships. Genes define necessary, but not sufficient, conditions to explain form. Thus, we have three levels for explaining form, all complementary and non contradictory: (1) Molecular genetic information; (2) Structural dynamic principles; and (3) Creative emergence. The third is generally considered vitalistic nonsense, long discarded by the mainstream scientific community, yet, it may eventually come to have a legitimate place.
The dance: Biology has been unduly constrained by the physical sciences in terms of a forced effort to build up biological entities from physicochemical components as though they were assembled mechanisms. Nature doesn't just assemble things; nature endlessly and creatively juggles needs and resources for the benefit of the dynamic living whole. It's an improvisational participatory dance of every part within living reality. The dance is the process, it's the unending activity. The dance is no more and no less than consciousness expressing itself through form.
Continuous renewal: All living systems are continually building, renewing, and recreating themselves. For example, about every seven years the human body is made entirely of new materials. Even the social and material artifacts produced by humans are exchanged over time. The parts of nature, and natural systems as a whole create and exchange knowledge, thought, moods, and actions. All cells and organisms, from micro-organisms to the earth itself, co-evolve, with intelligent communication at all levels through mutual sensing processes. The whole is our reference point for understanding.
ENERGY
Creation of forms requires energy. Even atoms continually self-create by drawing from energy and releasing spent energy back. Thunderclouds draw energy from their environment to create their changing forms, as do all cells, fungi, plants, and animals. Complex changing living systems are embedded in larger living systems with energy acting as the medium of information exchange between and within all living forms.
Zero-point energy field: All form for experiential physical reality is drawn from the zero-point energy field. It is a homogeneous background field of modulated energy source points. This background source is the "canvas" upon which the changing picture of physical reality that we experience is continually painted as unstoppable activity. For example, each point on an artist's canvas is like an energy point producing a color much like individual pixels on a TV or computer monitor. The difference between the artist's canvas and the zero-point background is that the canvas is a flat two dimensional surface whereas the zero-point background is like a three dimensional field of "pixels;" a holographic "canvas." This zero-point energy field is like a giant fish bowl filled with energy source points. However, our infinite sized zero-point energy "fish bowl" is filled with an infinite number of modulated points of energy pulsating in and out of existence at differing levels of intensity to create what we experience as form.
