Stylized Bull - 2002 |
|
I've had some Tagua nut hanging around my shop for several years, and I finally decided to make something with it. I chose this simple stylized bull because it was a perfect subject on which to experiment. I made the horns out of Tagua nut that I cut and shaped with power carving tools. Tagua nut polishes nicely but is a little brittle and will break easily.
This carving won a First Place ribbon at the Intermediate level at the Great Salt Lake Woodcarvers' 2002 show.
