Miniature Puppy - 1998

The pattern for this little guy appeared in a carving magazine (see below) and I used the pattern directly without increasing the scale.  It was a challenge due to the small scale, but it was also fun.  To this day I wish I had used something to make the eyes a little more glossy to give him a more lifelike look.  (Next time...)

Size: about 2 - 1/8 inches high

Wood: Basswood

Finish: Golden Oak Woodburst oil stain, then sealed with acrylic sealer
