Tomte - 2001

The "Tomte" (Swedish), or "Nisse" (Norwegian) is the bearer of Christmas gifts in Scandinavia.

This was a fun carving, and it was even funner to paint.

This carving won a First Place ribbon at the Intermediate level at the Great Salt Lake Woodcarvers' 2001  show.
