sometimes i am at a loss as to what to say (so much for proper english) 
it analyzes your hard disk and reports back how much space each file consumes. 
you can get pie charts, bar graphs, or a standard text display. 
of course, it does much more than this. 
but you should get the program and experiment. 
 
DiskData is free for personal home use. 
it works well and is very accurate. 
and it has such nice, happy pictures!

but, i just visited and it looks like
they want you to register the current version.

well, it's a good program and they probably updated it
and made it better. so, if you can, spend the bucks.
however, if you want the freeware version. look no more!
cause it's right in front of your disbelieving eyes!!!
