ZDnet's review of DX-Ball by Michael P. Welch

*********
Play a freeware Breakout-style game with a good twist with DX Ball v1.07. In DX Ball you use your paddle to keep the ball(s) in the air. Dropping all the balls in play causes you to lose a paddle. When all the paddles are lost, the game is over. There are different goodies -- good, bad, and mixed -- for you to catch after you hit certain bricks. The paddle has a "hold" mode that traps the ball against it, so that you can fire it someplace else. DX Ball is a nicely rendered, high-action variation on an old theme. The game is lots of fun, a definite keeper. .
System Requirements DirectX 2+ and Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0
