well, i'll tell you, one word: omniscience!

why yes, omnipotent, all knowing, and luckily, benevolent too! who me? i don't think so, this is just what me friend claims. and who might this be, you wonder? well, i wonder myself; it's those darn voices banging around inside of my skull. man do they raise a racket! it's amazing i can even think for myself! now if they were truly benevolent, they would deliver a huge bag of money to my doorstep so i would not have to work so i could then spend all of my time finding freeware and continually update my web site with all the goodies that i find! now that to me is benevolence! oh well...

a cool clock which i use at all times! it sits in your system tray and and actually replaces the normal windows clock. this is a good thing since you can now have the date, day of the week, abbreviated, complete spellings, you name it, and TclockEx will show it. personally, i like having seconds showing down there. ok, call me weird, but i do love this program! it's free and it works like a charm!

deskcolor v3r1 - clear text background for desktop icons - 1.24MB zipped - newest program
download deskcolor now! 82.6 KB zipped - this is prior program
control the desktop icon's text font color and their backgrounds! now that is a mouthful! deskcolor is like disappear and transparent, but you have more control. if you have a lot of icons on your desktop, like myself, this programs makes a world of difference! the text background is made transparent so that the wallpaper can show through! it makes an ugly desktop pretty cool looking, if i must say so myself! what i have for downloading is an older version, the newer version is at the author's homepage, so you should really go there to download the program. i know, i could do that just as well, but you should know by now from reading my pages that i am inherently lazy![[Tuesday, November 20, 2001 the homepage is gone, get either version from me. see above.]]

it's about time i added more programs to this page, they're not games, but hey, they're freeware!
[[note to me: today's date is Sunday, September 10, 2000]]. screen shots and more detailed descriptions???? well, ok... i'll get them for you soon. but at least you can download and use the programs. these programs help to keep your registry clean, and shows you all of the files that load every time you boot up windows. these programs i use alot!!

startup uninstaller by alex kaufman: zipped 188KB : {{freeware}}
no installation needed, just double click the executable. this program will show you all of the programs that will load when windows boots, and it will allow you to delete the entry, if you want to. this does not have an "undo" button, so if you delete the entry, it is gone for good. but don't let this scare you. there has been more than one occasion where i uninstalled a program, but it still tries to load itself everytime i booted. this program allowed me to see what programs loaded and then allowed me to delete the offending entry. i like this program!!
and i know that you'll like these screeshots that i have personally prepared for you.

easy cleaner v1.5 by ToniArts: zipped 1.22MB : {{freeware}}
another program that i like, and one that i use at work (alot). this program does many things, but the one way that i use it... is to clean up stray registry errors. easy cleaner will find all stray registry errors (well, most of them), then you hit the button to 'select all' then 'delete'. and poof! they are gone. (of course, backup your registry first with rescue). i have used this function on my computers at home and my computers at work, and it has never corruptted any registry, and it has actually solved a few "mysterious" problems. so, i have faith that this program will work just as well for you. [and you gotta have a lot of faith when you work everyday with windows9x computers!] cheers!

Reg Cleaner v3 : zipped 207KB : {{freeware}}
another cool registry program that allows you to see all of the software that is registered in the registry. so if you uninstall a program, and this still shows the program in the registry, then you can simply delete the entry with this program. very cool and easy to use. and yes, this program does make a backup of every item you delete, so if you change your mind, you can undo the deletion. very cool indeed!
