Dear User, I am writing to you, to let you know about Lupa program. Let me explain first that 'Lupa' (pronounced loopa) means magnifying glass in Polish. I have written this program almost two years ago, when I got my first copy of Delphi. Currently I have rewritten it in C++ Builder. Lupa works on Win95 and NT only. I am giving this program away (i.e. this is FREEWARE!) and I hope it can be useful to you. If you like this program and you want to use it, please do so. ---- Double clicking on the "lupa.reg" file adds a new key into the registry and the program will stop displaying the annoying registration message. ---- OK, now let me tell you how to use this program, and how it works, I hope it is obvious what this program is for :-). It probes 20 times per second where your cursor is located, and copies the surrounding area into its own view. You can set magnification ratio (between 0.1 and 16). To do it, just slide a scrollbar at the bottom of the Lupa main window. If Lupa has a focus, you can also use the left and right arrows. You can try to do some experiments by sliding this ruler without moving mouse. You can also change size of the view area, simply drag corner of the main window. Options menu gives you some standard settings, have fun using them! ---- the above text is from the readme.txt file. ---- this is just a fun little program to play with!! and you know what?!?!?! it works really well! believe or not, Lupa's homepage!! so, go visiting, say hello, and download it there or, just download it from my page above. in any case, enjoy! |

---- there is one thing to note with lupa... to register the program with the windows 95 registry, you just double click the "lupa.reg" file. from my experience, this works most of the time. every once in awhile, i have had to try several days in a row, then it finally worked. one time, i double clicked the "lupa.reg" file from inside of my zipped file, and it worked. i don't think it's a problem with lupa, but with windows95. anyway, keep trying different ways, the registration will eventually work. and why should you keep trying?!?!? because lupa is the best screen magnifier that i have seen!! ---- |
