though a tad hard to navigate through all of the software posted (which i tend to do), it is good site with good software with good descriptions. posting good descriptions of the software is more important to me than most anything else. sites that just list a file name and a link...i mean... you know...why bother. inquiring minds want to know! inquiring minds want descriptions! it's all about descriptions. what are you waiting for?!?! check out rocketdownload now! just put wading boots on first.

go for the software, and stay for the commentary. i like this site, but i am bitter, twisted, paranoid, and cynical. so don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself. this is the site that your mother warned you about.
these sites i have added in november 2002, they look like good sites that have a decent selection of freeware and some shareware for windoze computers. hopefully, they will be around for many years....
if what you want are huge mind-boggling software selections, then you need to go to tucows or cnet downloads. but i like smaller sites, so here they are: enjoy!

as of october 2001, these next 2 sites no longers exist... i am one sad mikey.... i am leaving them here so that i can remember them. especially, softseek, that was my favorite place to go. oh well, such are the travails of the internet. what is interesting, if you click the softseek link, it takes you to directly to zdnet's software downloads, and if you click on the winfiles link, it redirects you to the cnet software downloads. which, in and of itself, are not bad things since both zdnet and cnet have alot of software to browse through and download. what is more interesting, is that cnet bought out and now owns zdnet. so at one time, we had 4 independent sites for good software downloads, but now, cnet owns zdnet, winfiles, and softseek. what is also interesting, is that cnet bought out and nows owns the tech-republic website, which is a good site for computer industry professionals to get news, information, and help. i don't know what their plans are, but they sure seem to be on a buying spree. yikes, i really need my happy pills! happy happy happy pills. i love my happy pills!
