i use this program alot at work. i have it on all computers, and set it up to directly print to a network printer "the active window" when someone hits the "print screen" key. this is great for getting windows error messages. everyone at my work knows to hit the print screen key for error messages. when i get into work in the morning, i'll find these print outs from time to time. it saves me alot of time and my coworkers the trouble of having to document errors. --- the other great use for this program is documenting steps to take on a computer. whether it's following a procedure or installing something, i can document it step by step with this program. step1 then print key, step2 then print key, step3 then print key, etc etc. since all of the print jobs are going to a network printer, i've stacked up 15 of these steps and they all print out in order. i can then xerox them as many times as i need and give them to who ever needs to "see" how to do something on their computer. incredibly handy... and a screen capture picture is worth a thousands words. they have a step by step picture book, which cuts down the questions i get and need to answer. ---- anyway, get the program and take it into work and start documenting what you do. there is no installation program... so put it where ever you like, create a shortcut and stick it in your startup folder. shoot, leave it on your floppy disk if you need to. it will still work just fine. then tell your IT computer guy that mikey says it's ok to bring in programs from home. they like that sort of stuff. |
