[i've heard this before somewhere?]

THAT'S RIGHT! MORE COLLEGE RADIO! 
don't worry though...it's good for the soul!!!

 

and now... a few words about the nature of the beast... collectively otherwise known and loved as college radio

when you click a link to listen to one of the audio live broadcasts,
sometimes you get through and you hear music,
sometimes your audio player will pop up, the stream will buffer, but there is no sound,
other times, you just might get nothing.
WELCOME TO COLLEGE RADIO!

first of all, you're dealing with college students,
which have to deal with the college administration,
who have budgets for everything,
with college radio, most likely,
being towards the bottom of the list.

so what does all this mean?!!?!?!?
it means..... please have patience.
sometimes the streaming server is down, but most of the time it will be up and working.
sometimes a DJ just doesn't show up, and if it is early AM, they just close the station down.
sometimes they're between quarters, breaks, semesters...so they might not be able to find someone
to man the radio station and play music, the solution, once again, is to shut down the station down.
and... for the most part, the equipment they use is not the latest nor the greatest, and needs more maintenance
than brand new equipment, which they could never afford, which translates to more down time.

i think you realize what i am trying to say...
college radio is student-run on a volunteer basis and always done on a very tight budget.
so if you can't get through or if you get nothing, please be patient and check back.
their hearts are in the right place and their intentions are the best, and they do give it that college try!

look, i'm old, i'm tired, and i don't have the stamina to keep up with them students. college radio stations change the way they stream music... a lot... them young kids like to be on the cutting edge of all things internet. so if you are interested in listening to them, click the school logo, go to their site, and get connected there. they always have some big button or link that says "listen" or "stream us now!" i thank you for your interest in college radio. it is indeed very cool!
