Season Record: 6-1 Tied for first!!
Game Summaries:
October 12, 2006
The game for the title. Numb again faces the Goats. The game was different. Numb
takes a commanding lead 9-3 over the first few innings. The Goats do not seem to
be hitting as usual and trail 12-5 in the bottom of the 7th. Knowing no lead is
safe with Numb, they go to town! 5 runs are in, bases are loaded, two outs, and
their big bopper at bat. He smashes a line drive to Troytus at second, who makes
the catch, game over, Numb ties for the Pennant!!
Leading Numb were Brad the Younger, 3-4, 3 runs, Papa Williams, 3-4, 2 runs, rbi,
Big Art, 3-4, run, 2 rbis, Penalty Shirt Dave, 3-4, 2 runs, rbi, Troytus, 3-4, 2 runs,
rbi, Numbmaster, 2-3, run, 2 rbis, Coach Eddie, 2-3, run, rbi, and Stan the Man,
2-5, run, rbi. One hit wonders were the tail enders, Hannaman, rbi, Dale, rbi, and
Chaba de Hutt, rbi. Brad made the last out of the game, season, and year, but the
"Ed Pays" rule gets him off the hook for next Spring, unless we play in extended Fall.
Next up, Christmas Party at Jay's. Tune into Events for details as they are
made up! Have a great winter, drink beer, hit the cages....
October 5, 2006
Numb meets the other undefeated team, the Goats. They know how to hit! Numb does
not start with hitting and quickly is down 9-1 in the third. A 6-run third makes
it a game at 9-7. Numb takes a lead later in the game, but cannot hold off the
Goats who lead 17-15 with Numb hitting in the last inning. The bats go flat, Numb
fails to score, and falls. A couple of missed defensive plays and perhaps a little
better baserunning, and the game might have been different.
Leading Numb were Chaba de Hutt, 3-3, triple, run, 4 rbis, Penalty Shirt Dave, 3-4,
3 runs, Hannaman, 2-3, 2 runs, 2 rbis, Brad the Younger, 3-5, home run, double, 3 runs,
2 rbis, Rootbeer Haley, 2-4, 2 runs, Numbmaster, 2-4, double, run, rbi, and Dale,
2-4, run, 2 rbis. Stan the Man was the lone one hit wonder. The Goats had only 3
outfielders which would have been perfect for Papa Williams and Big Art, but
unfortunately, they could not make the game. Numb gets a chance next week at the
Goats. Time to be announced.
September 28, 2006
Numb meets Teichert at Community. Seems tailor made for Teichert, who has beat
Numb handily in the 5 previous games and can smack the ball. The game starts with
Brad smacking the ball for a leadoff homer staking Numb to a 1-0 lead. Defense
shines and Numb leads 3-2 after 2. Slowly, overcoming 3 baserunners getting nailed
by the stong arms of Teichert, Numb builds a 11-2 lead. In the bottom of the last
inning, Teichert scores 2, but Brad seals the game with a leaping grab of a foul ball
at the fence in left. The curse is broken! Numb wins 11-4
Leading Numb were Brad the Younger, 3-3, home run, 4 runs, 2 rbis, Dale Roweberry,
4-4, run, rbi, Rootbeer Haley, 2-2, run. Slightly less than perfect were Numbmaster,
2-3, triple, 3 rbis, Coach Eddie, 3-4, Chaba de Hutt, 2-3, and Stan the Man, 2-4,
triple, 3 runs, 3 rbis. One hit wonders were Papa Williams, 2 rbis, Big Art, and
Penalty Shirt Dave Hunn. Dale made the last out of the game, tagged out at home.
Next week, clash of the 5-0 teams.
September 21, 2006 GAME 1
Numb plays the oddly named Off Constantly. What the heck does that mean? For Numb,
it means, "Lets samack the ball around!". Numb scores early and often, like the old
days, and wins 23-6.
Leading hitters were 5 perfect batters, Stan the Man, 4-4, three doubles, 4 runs, 4
rbis, Papa Williams, 4-4, double, 2 runs, 5 rbis, Big Art, 3-3, double, run, 2 rbis,
Hannaman, 4-4, 2 runs, 2 rbis, and Chaba de Hutt, 3-3, double, 3 runs, rbi. Coach
Eddie was slightly less than perfect, 3-4, 3 runs, 2 rbis. One hit wonders were Rootbeer
Haley, 2 runs, rbi, Numbmaster, triple, run, 2 rbis, and Dale, 2 runs, 2rbis.
September 21, 2006 GAME 2
Kind of tired after scoring 23 runs, Numb faces the Big Bat Daddys in the second
game of the night. Numb blows a close game wide open, plays good D and wins
20-3. Thats 43 runs for the night, folks!
Leading hitters for the nightcap were Penalty Shirt Dave, 3-3, 3 runs, 3 rbis,
Hannaman, 2-2, 2 runs, rbi (thats 6-6 for the night!), Papa Williams, 2-3, 2 runs,

and Coach Eddie, 2-4, 2 runs, 2 rbis. One hit wonders were Troytus and Chaba de
Hutt, 2 runs. Chaba made the last out of the game.

a double header next week!
September 7, 2006
Numb starts the fall shaky, committing 4 errors in the first inning, but hold Beer
Me to only one run. Numb bats take over, lead by Coach Eddie, and smack the beer
drinkers 16-3.

Haley, 2-4, run, and Stan the Man, 2-4, triple, 2 runs. One hit wonders were Troytus,
2 runs, Hannaman, run, Dale Roweberry, run, and Chaba de Hutt, double, run. Leading
non-hitter was Numbmaster, 4 walks. Dale made the last out of the game and the Souls
are up next week.
