Game Summaries:
October 18, 2007
Numb starts out ready and willing to take care of business. Front of the order takes us
out (Stan the Mahn Robinson 4-5, 2rbi), Bradly the Younger (3-5, 2 rbi) and Hugo
(2-4, 2 rbi) conbine for a truckload of hits. But the middle (Ed 1-4, Dave 1-4, and
Art 1-4) and the tail (Steve 1-4,1 rbi, and Troytus 1-4, 1 rbi) lagged in product.
By the third, Numb leads 6-1. Then the fourth and Fifth innings are burners with Numb
picking up 7 and Big Bat Daddies 10, leaving the score at Numb 13, Daddies 11.
Then Daddies picked up a couple runs to tie the game. Tie-breaker, they score on a line
drive to right field, and pick up 2. Numb's two batters, stellar to this point,
pop out ('1-2"). Stan has the Year long beer duty.
Other hitters were Dale (3-4), JT (2-4), and JW (1-4, 1 rbi)
Update by JT (as if you couldn't tell)
October 11, 2007
In a game that had three over-the-fence home run "outs", any number of long drives, and
left us questioning whether the balls, or perhaps players, were "juiced",
Numb powers on to a 15 to 4 win over the venerable Souls.
Powerful scoring in the first and third innings carried the Numbies soundly into the final
defensive stand. Numb used 3 pitchers to dazzle our opponents, all with good result.
Leading the bashing that occurred at the plate was Troytus (4-4) and
JW "Plopping-0ut-Another" Williams (3-3), followed by Stan-the-Mahn Robison (2-3),
Hugo "Over-the-Fence" Castillo (3-4, HR-out), and Ed "I'm-Not-Dead-Yet" dah Bulge (3-4).
Fifty-Percenters were Craig "Rootbeer" Haley, and Arthur Forma (both 2-4).
And "the-rest- of-the-story" numbies followed with "one fers": Bradley the Younger,
and Hannaman(both 1-3), as well as JT and Dale (both 1-4).
And there was much rejoicing.
Dale made the last out and will be bringing soda to go with the hotdogs after our final
Fall Season game.

October 4, 2007
Numb faces an old foe, Jo's Heroes. The game does not go well, as Numb struggles
to score tied 3-3. Numb busts out to go up 11-3, weathers a Heroes' rally, and
wins 11-5.
Leading hitters were Numbmaster, 4-4, 2 rbis, Brad the Younger, 3-3, run, 2 rbis,
Mighty Troytus, 3-3, double, 2 runs, Newest Dave, 2-3, rbi, Papa Williams, 2-4,
2 rbis, and Hugo, 2-4, run, rbi. One hit wonders were Rootbeer Haley, 2 runs, rbi,
Coach Eddie, Big Art, run, JT, 2 runs, rbi, Hannaman, and Dale, 2 runs. I don't
remember who made the last out.
September 27, 2007
Numb faces the really young Round Table Knights. The Numbmaster overheard them asking
if the "old timers" they were facing were any good. We show them by committing a
couple of errors in the first and letting them take a 4-0 lead. After climbing back
to 4-3, the 'old timers' erupt and score 10 to lead 13-4 and hold on for a 14-9
victory. Take that you whipper-snappers! And, by the way, Santa Claus isn't real!
Leading the charge were again Newest Dave, 2-2, 2 runs, 2 rbis, Coach Eddie, 2-2,
double, 3 runs, Hugo, 2-3, run, and Troytus, 2-3, 2 runs, 2 rbis. One hit wonders
were Papa Williams, double, run, 2 rbis, Brad the Younger, run, rbi, JT, run, and Dale,
run, rbi. The Numbmaster made the last out of the game.
September 20, 2007
Numb faces off against the young Beer Me. Trailing 3-2 after one,
Numb finds the hidden hits and with the help of some errors, pushes 10 runs
across the plate. Numb holds the lead and wins easily, 18-9. All 13 Numbsters
managed at least one hit, a rare event this year of season long slumps.
Leading the charge were Newest Dave, 3-3, home run, 2 runs, 3 rbis, Hugo, 1-1, double,
2 runs, 4 rbis, Papa Williams, 2-3, 3 runs, rbi, Coach Eddie, 2-3, run, rbi,
Troytus, 2-3, run, rbi, Dale, 2-3, run, Hannaman, 2-3, run, rbi, and Brad the Younger,
2-4, double, run, rbi. One hit wonders were Rootbeer Haley, 2 runs, Numbmaster,
run, rbi, Stan the Man, 2 runs, Big Art, and JT. Rootbeer made the last out of the
game so rootbeer for all next week! Next up, its Knights of the Round Table, they
dance when'ere they're able... come on sing it!
September 13, 2007
Numb faces the dreaded Teichert. Not the same Teichert, though. Wether short
players due to drinking, layoffs, or the time of the game, Teichert opens with a 2-0
lead. Numb manages to lead 3-2, then goes up 8-2, and holds on to win 8-3. Not
pretty, but we like it.
Leading the charge was Big Art, breaking out to go 3-3, double, run, rbi, Rootbeer
Hakey, 3-4, run, Coach Eddie, 2-3, 2 runs, Numbmaster, 2-4, 2 runs, rbi, and Hugo,
2-4, triple, run, 2 rbis. One hit wonders were Brad, rbi, Papa Williams, rbi,
and Stan the Man, run. Hugo made the last out of the game.
September 6, 2007
Numb finds itself back in D3 after a dissapointing Summer. It wasn't the
competetion so much, as Numb's inability to hit! Facing the Yung Guns, Numb
struggles to score, trailing 5-1 after 3. In the bottom of the 4th bats come
alive and Numb scores 9 to lead 10-5, winning 12-5.
Leading hitters were Numbmaster, 3-3, double, 2 rbis, Hugo, 3-3, 2 runs, Brad
the Younger, 2-3, run, 2 rbis, and Coach Eddie, 2-3, run, rbi. One hit wonders
were Rootbeer Haley, 2 rbis, Troytus, run, Big Art, run, 2 rbis, and JT, run,
rbi. Newest Dave showed true Numbness by scoring twice and knocking in 2 runs
without getting a hit! Stan the Man made the last out of the game. Next up,
Teichert. Hit the cages men.
