Season Record: 9-0 Perfection!
June 4, 2009
Winning the previous game 17-6, our opponents (I think it was the Big Bat Daddies) seek
to deny Numb its record 9th victory. The game is tense, as Numb stuggles at the plate.
Numb defense varies from brillant to oh-so-close, but manages a 1-1 tie after 4 innings.
Numb breaks out with 5 in the 5th, our opponents only get one, which Numb matches in the
sixth. The opposition can only manage 2 runs in their last at-bat, and Numb wins 7-4.
Numb is carred by Matt the Natural, 3-3, two triples, Troytus, 3-3, and Big Art, 2-3.
the rest were one hit wonders. Details later.
In its 30th year, Numb finally goes 9-0. To Connie!!!
Game Summaries:
May 28, 2009
This game is the rescheduled rainout of April 9, against Crazy With A Folding Chair, which
brings up images too disturbing to mention here. Numb has trouble scoring, and relies on
its defense to help out. Numb manages a hard won 10-5 win.
Big Art carries Numb at 2-2, 2 doubles, run, 4 rbis, with Matt the Natural, 2-3, 2 runs,
JT, 2-3, 2 rbis, and Troytus, 2-3, rbi, picking up the slack. One hit wonders were Brad,
run, rbi, Rootbeer Haley, run, Numbmaster, 3 runs, Jeff the Hammer, double, run, 2 rbis,
Stan the Man, run, Hannaman, and Dale, who also made the last out of the game, much to the
dismay of the beer drinkers.
Numb goes for its first ever 9-0 record! However, we will play either the Big Bat Daddies
or Those Guys, whom we barely beat.
May 21, 2009
Another Oldsters vs. Oldsters matchup, the return of Jo's Heroes. Numb starts off with a
5 run first then lets the defense do its thing and cruises to a 10-2 victory.

2 runs, rbi, Rootbeer Haley, 3-4, 2 runs, Brad Haley, 2-3, 2 runs, Jeff the Hammer, 2-3,

April 30, 2009
Numb hitting continues, not normal for this time of the year, this time at the expense
of the Souls. Numb scores 13 runs in the top of the first inning and cruises to a 18-3
win.
Lots of hitting, with a perfect JT, 3-3, run, 4 rbis, Matt the Natural, 3-4, 2 runs,
rbi, Numbmaster, 3-4, 2 runs, 2 rbis, Big Art, 2-3, run, rbi, Coach Eddie, 2-3, run, rbi,
Dale, 2-3, 2 runs, rbi, Brad, 2-4, triple, 2 runs, 3 rbis, Rootbeer Haley, 2-4, run, and
Dave, 2-4, 2 runs, rbi. One hit wonders were Jeff, run, rbi, and Hannamen, run.
The last out of the game is in question, as Dave batted with one out and the bases loaded.
He grounds sharply to third, where the third baseman touches third then gets Brad into
a pickle, who is tagged out for the last out.
April 23, 2009
Numb faces Jo's Heroes late at Community. The Heroes start out fast, and lead early,
but Numb, the slumbering giant, comes awake and cruises to a 16-9 victory.
Leading hitters were the Hammer, Jeff Williams, 3-3, double, 3 runs, 2 rbis, Big Art,
3-3, 2 runs, 2 rbis, Matt the Natural, 2-3 home run, 2 runs, 3 rbis, Dave the Bionic Man,
2-3, home run, 2 runs, 2 rbis, Troytus, 2-3, double, 2 runs, rbi, Dale, 2-3, 3 rbis, and
Bradley the Younger, 2-4, run. One hit wonders were Numbmaster, 2 runs, Stan the Man,
run, 2 rbis, and Hannaman, rbi.
Brad made the last out of the game and will pay the price.
April 16, 2009 Second Game
By now, the aged, tired Numbsters are looking towards the cooler for the blessed beer,
but have another game to play, against the young, tall, and fast Those Guys. They come
out swinging and put up 4 in the first. It looked like Numb was in for a long night
but we crawled back to take a 6-4 lead. Later, with an 11-5 lead, Those Guys bat for the
last time. After scoring 4, their rally dies, and Numb hangs on to win 11-9.
A revitalized Coach Eddie leads the charge at 3-3, double, run, 2 rbis, with Rootbeer
Haley, 3-4, Chad Haley, 2-3, run, Brad, 2-4, run, and the Hammer, 2-4, 2 runs picking
up the slack. One hit wonders were Matt, 2 runs, Numbmaster, run, rbi, Big Art, triple,
run, 3 rbis, JT, run, rbi, and Dale, triple, run, rbi.
Jeff Williams made the last out of the game, and will share the duty with Coach Eddie.
April 16, 2009 First Game
After a week off due to the weather, Numb is back in action against the Big Bat Daddies.
For some reason, we are short players and have to call on injured reservists Coach Eddie
and JT to play, and recruit yet another Haley, Young Chad, to get us to 10.
Numb bats first and puts up 5 for an early lead. Leading 13-9 the Daddies make a run
in the bottom of the last inning, but falls short and Numb wins 13-11.
Leading the hitters were Matt 'the Natural', 3-3, run, 2 rbis, Numbmaster, 2-2, run, 2 rbis,
Bradley the next to youngest Haley, 2-4, run, Rootbeer Haley, 2-4, 4 runs, and JT, 2-4,
double, run. One hit wonders were many, Jeff 'the Hammer' run, 2 rbis, Big Art, 2 runs,
rbi, Coach Eddie, run, rbi, and Dale, 3 rbis.
Coach Eddie made the last out of the game and as is tradtional, will split the
beer duty with the last out maker of the next game...
April 2, 2009
Numb enters year 30, thats right, in 1979 Numb started as the Albino Moose Club in Davis
City League play. Unusually, Numb could hit tonight, but as no big suprise could not field. After
trailing 10-2, (we looked bad), Numb comes back to take the lead. For some reason, the
scorekeeper did not add our opponent's runs and reported the score as 15-10, when it was
actually 15-13. Numb scored 5 in the top of the last inning to '10 run' FBC by the official
score of 20-10.
All Numbsters hit. Leading the charge were Dave 'the Bionic Man' Hunn, 4-4, home run, double,
3 runs, 3 rbis, Matt 'the Natural' 3-4, home run, 2 runs, 3 rbis, Jeff 'the Hammer', 2-3,
triple, 2 runs, 2 rbis, Big Art, 2-3, home run, 2 runs, 3 rbis, Brad the Younger, 2-4, triple,
2 runs, rbi, Numbmaster, 2-4, 3 runs, Stan 'the Man' 2-4, rbi, Dale R., 2-4, run, rbi, and
Troytus, 2-4, run. One hit wonders were Rootbeer Haley, double, 3 runs, rbi, and Hannaman,
rbi.
Matt made the last out of the game for Numb, in the previous inning, as no outs were
recorded during Numb's last inning before the 10 run rule was invoked. So sad...
