Golden Currant
(Ribes aureum)

A shrub, three or four feet tall, which grows in clumps along the streambanks of our canyons.

The tubular shaped flowers grow from the leaf axils. They are yellow, but turn rose colored as they mature. The edible berries vary in color (yellow, red, or black).
