Snowbush
(Ceanothus velutinus)

This low evergreen shrub grows on our high mountain hillsides. The individual flowers are quite small, but they occur in rounded racemes covering the plant like patches of snow.

The leaves are dark green, thick and leathery, with three prominent veins. They have very tiny serrations along the edges.
