still gathering histories and pictures (if available)
Thank you for visiting - I do hope that you will find something/someone of interest to you in your search for family history within my ancestor's family. This page will be added to for a long time, as I suspect it will take that long to gather histories and pictures of Grandpa and Grandma Shearer and their children, as well as who all of their descendants are. But I'm going to update it as I get information.
Please contact me if you have any pictures of Daniel, Jane, or any of their children and their spouses and are willing to loan them to me to scan and publish on this page.
Any mistakes, or errors are not intentional and may be in the original data or in my entering that data, so be patient and write to me and let me know about any that you see and I'll correct them.
My sincere and hearthfelt thanks to Judy Edwards LaPierre (a descendant from Daniel's brother, Thomas) for all of the information I have on my ancestor, Daniel Shearer.

Noble (Historian's Office ref. no. 2538, p. 136), indicating he migrated since Sep 1851; as travel in the long wdinter was impractical, this indicates that the summer of 1852 was his time of migration.
8 Jan 1854 - married at Salt Lake City to Mary Wilkie, sealed same day (in the IGI); likely this was a formality uniting them in her maiden name; both Marys b. CT; Jane Maria listed only one Mary, as Wilkie; Daniel accounted for a limited number of wives in letters to brother Thomas.
