Welcome to the homepage of my g-g-g-grandparents. This page is still under construction, so please be patient. I am still in the process of gathering histories, pictures, etc. and so it may be awhile before everything comes together.

I hope that you will benefit from your visit here. Please feel free to look around and if you want some more information on anyone here, please write to me and request that. Also, if you see mistakes, or if you notice that there are some additions that need to be made to the descendancy lists please let me know so I can correct them. I'm not claiming that the information I am presenting on here is 100% correct, as I could have typed them in wrong, or the information I have may be in error, but I'm presenting it as I have it.

- SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT -

by David & Diane Owen

Announcing the opening of the "Ellis Sanders House" (15 Jul 03)

Bed and Breakfast in Historic Nauvoo, Ill.

Our long search for a new home ended in January, when we aquired this beautiful original 1840's Nauvoo residence. The house was built for Ellis Mendenhall Sanders for $2,500 by his cousin and next door neighboor, William Mendenhall. Ellis Sanders & his family lived in this house for less than 10 months before it was sold for only $6.26! In 1846 Ellis and his family left for the Rocky Mountains. Only a few of the original Nauvoo homes remain standing today. This three story Federalist Style home has 4 bedrooms, and has been occupied and exceptionally maintained for over 160 years. The home is scenically situated, with views of the Mississippi River from every room, and is convenient to all Nauvoo attractions. We feel this house typifies the unique and peaceful spirit of Navuoo and look forward to sharing it with our guests. The "Ellis Sanders House" will open on Jul 15, 2003 commemorating the anniversary date that Ellis Sanders moved into the house.
