William DAVISON

The only record I have which gave me the names of Mary Davison's parents was her church marriage record at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Josephville, St. Charles County, Missouri. It states her parents as William Davison and Sarah Owens.
Mary Davison married John Mills after the 1880 U. S. Census and she died before the 1900 U. S. Census. In the 1880 U.S. Census, I found Mary Davison living in a household as a servant. She indicated her place of birth as Arkansas. Emma living in another household as a servant indicated her place of birth as Arkansas. In this census they both listed their age as 21. Could they have been twins? Mary and Emma had a brother, Samuel Davison, he was enumerated in the 1880 U.S. Census as a laborer, age 19, in yet another household. I could not find a William Davison, but located John Davison, age 44, widower, as head of household, living alone as a farmer. They were living within a close distance of each other all in St. Charles County, Missouri during the 1880 U.S. Census.
During the 1900 U.S. Census, I located Samuel G. Davison, living in Pike County, Missouri, with his wife, Mollie and three children Samuel indicated he was born in Arkansas, his father born in Missouri, and his mother born in Arkansas.
Emma Davison, moved in to live with John Mills to help raise their five children. Emma was listed as John Mills' sister-in-law, single, born July 1859, age 40, born in Missouri, father born in Kentucky and mother born in Arkansas. It is difficult to understand the differences of Emma's as well as her parent's birth places in this census compared to previous census. Emma disappeared. I could not locate her in the 1910 U.S. Census. Nor have I been able to find her grave.
