In the name of God Amen. I Benjamin Hendrick of Amelia County being sick and weak of body and of sound mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, To Wit.

First. It is [my] will and desire that all my just debts be punctually paid.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Zachariah Hendrick one hundred acres of land being the land whereon he now lives beginning at Mr. Joshua Ruckus (sp?) line ... to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my son James Hendrick one hundred acres of land beginining ....

Item. I lend to my beloved Anna Hendrick all the remainder of my land together with all my estate to wit negroes, horses, stock of all kinds, plantation utensils, household and kitchen furniture for the support of her and my three daughters and at her death it is my will and desire that all my land on the west side of the main road be equally divided between my three daughters Rebecah Hendrick, Rachel Hendrick and Tabitha Hendrick. Also it is my will and desire that the remainder of my land on the east side of the road to be sold by my executors and the money arising therefrom and all the rest of my estate after the death of my wife to be equally divided between my children Zachariah Hendrick, James Hendrick, Rebecah Hendrick, Rachel Hendrick, and Tabitha Hendrick to be to them and their heirs foreer.

Lastly, I appoint my two friends Garland Hendrick and Paschal McGlaison with my two sons Zachariah Hendrick and James Hendrick executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and eight. Signed Benjamin Hendrick
