In the name of God Amen. I John Hendrick of Amelia County do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following.

First, I will that all my just debts be paid out of my estate.

Item. I lend to my loving wife Lucy Hendrick all my estate both real and personal during her natural life for her benefit and the support and maintenance of my children, and after her death it is my will and desire that the whole of my -- may be equally divided among all my children to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly, I appoint my beloved wife Lucy Hendrick as my sole executrix and also appoint my two friends Joshua Chaffin and Anthony Webster -- advisors of this my last will and testament. Revoking all other will or wills and confirming this to be my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affirmed my seal this 17th day of April 1804. John Hendrick.
