PRESS RELEASE: City of Galt Council Member Tom Malson has been asked by the League of California Cities Transportation, Communications and Public Works Committee Chairman (Harry Armstrong, Council member Clovis and former League of California Cities, past president 1982-83) to represent that committee on the General Resolutions Committee at the League's Annual Conference this year.  He has accepted this appointment.

The General Resolutions Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, September 8, at the San Diego Convention Center to consider the reports of the League policy committees regarding four resolutions. This committee includes one representative from each of the League’s regional divisions, functional departments, and standing policy committees, as well as additional city officials appointed by the League president. Resolutions to be Considered:

• Annual Conference Resolutions Procedures
• Alternate Voting Delegates - Bylaws Amendment
• Health and Wellness in Cities
• Forfeiture of Vehicles Used in Illegal Speed Contests and Exhibitions of Speed
