Story Behind The Song
Ted gave me 20 minutes to write a song for the
bus-girl at Maria's Restaurant. I recorded this demo and then Ted
and I went to Maria's for lunch.
She'd Rather Be Doing It
She carries bowls of salsa, but they never seem
to come our way. She's got a look that could kill you dead and a
stack of plates on a tray. She was working on the outside when she
looked through the window at me. I looked up from my cave man chomping
and got killed by her e.c. She's got looks that kill, but she'd rather
be doing it. She's got glasses to fill, but I bet she'd rather be
doing it. We ordered bean burritos, making sure that we order whole
beans. She hears me say, "tuna tacos" but I know she doesn't know
what I mean. I wanna tell her that I love her, but you know that
I can't be too sure. All I know is if she'd rather be doing it then-
