From Experience
sixteen years old and a world of choices.
so many people to look up to, less to avoid. there's changes to be
made kid. brace yourself for loves and illusions. life is full
of changes. don't be misled. stay true to your feelings.
and you'll be one step ahead. i used to belive in many things.
now its years later and i don't feel quite the same. i've changed
my favorite band, i've changed the life i led. but there are some
things that i'll never abandon.
Rumor Mill
you are spreading lies, they're out of control.
you talk so much shit, but you have no clue. a judgement passed by
a jaded fool. your lack of understanding is starting to show!
you can't keep us down... we'll be back again! you can't keep us
down... we'll be back for you! don't get careless with the words
you choose or with what you may assume. a little light shed can bring
you the truth. think about it! before you make your next move.
you try to take us down... with what you say you know. you're generating
lies... they're out of control. reputation unsound... the cause leads
back to you. you may bring us down... but we'll be back for you,
because you can't keep us down!
A Solution
i looked deep inside myself... and i've got a solution!
trudging through life with a will to survive. i've kept my head above
water just knowing i've tried. been run through the mill so early
in life. it taught me no need for material life. i was brought
up loved in a low income family. outcast by my peers because they
had everything. fancy cars, flashy clothes, but when you die... where
will it all go? i looked deep inside myself... and i've got a solution.
i want this!... I want that! i'm sick and tired of hearing people
bitch. there are so many people, all running around. slaving
in a rut... when will they slow down? and see what there is to see.
there is so much that life has to bring. kick the greed, cause happiness
is all you need! look... deep... inside!
About Face
acceptance came, acceptance dazed, now your gone.
i never thought that you would go out that way. your dream of unity,
you shunned like the plauge. about face! we've marched down
the same path. overcoming countless obstacles. in our struggle
we stood side by side. never fearing what lied down the road.
we chose our course because of shared beliefs and our differences fell
few and far between. until one day when a new clique came you turned.
about face! you say, you can't kill a dream... about face!
i watched you rip it apart at the seams... about face! you met the
qualifications, but you were jus a kid lost. you let it warp all
that was inside you. overlooking what it was gonna cost. now
you're running in a pack. sharing the same beliefs. but when
a different taste steps into you, you shut them out just like you did me.
you say you can't kill a dream... about face! you told me once you
can't kill a dream. as it turned out i watched you rip it apart at
the seams. acceptance came, acceptance dazed. your dreams died
with you. and now you stand alone in the end. because your
dreams died with you.
