SSA is a non-profit organization.  An independent sailing club initiated to promote the sport of sailing in the Sacramento area.

As well as utilizing our own local lakes, SSA has travel races to not-so-far regatta's. Fun days on the lake, potlucks, overnight cruises, etc.   We offer informational programs on sailboat handling, safety and racing.

COST YOU ASK???? Your first year is $35, and $25 each year after that. Since SSA has no club house to support, and very little overhead, we are able to keep our costs at a minimum. Sacramento Sailing Association membership application.,

Sailing experience is not a requirement for membership.   If you are new to sailing you will be especially welcome to SSA.   Participate in our seminars, or volunteer as crew for a race.
