NFL: Pittsburgh 38, Houston 17
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh's Willie Parker ran
for 138 yards and a three touchdowns Sunday in a 38-17 Steelers'
romp over the Houston Texans.
Parker scored on runs of seven, 13 and four yards. Hines
Ward picked up 76 yards and scored two touchdowns on six receptions
for Pittsburgh (1-0).
Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed for 137
yards and two touchdowns before he was replaced by backup Byron
Leftwich early in the fourth quarter.
Pittsburgh has won its season-opening game six years in a
row.
Texans' quarterback Matt Schaub passed for 202 yards and a
touchdown with two interceptions.
Schaub also ran four yards for a score and Andre Johnson
caught 10 passes for 112 yards for Houston (0-1).
