BRIEF: Gustav Forms in the Caribbean

Aug. 25--GULFPORT -- Tropical Storm Gustav has formed in the

Caribbean and is packing winds of 60 mph.

The National Hurricane Center issued an advisory Monday

afternoon, and hurricane watches and warnings for portions of Haiti

and the Dominican Republic.

The projected path is uncertain now, forecasters said, but

the storm likely will move over Cuba next weekend.
