Iranian chief calls.U.N. sanctions illegal
TEHRAN, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad says sanctions by the U.N. Security Council against his
country's nuclear program are illegal.
"We don't recognize them," he said in an interview,
repeating his stand that the nation only wants peaceful nuclear
technology to which it is entitled, reported IRNA, the officials
Iranian news agency.
The U.N. Security Council has slapped Iran with three rounds
of sanctions, IRNA said.
Meanwhile, French President Nicolas Sarkozy warns of an
Israeli attack on Iran and says only negotiation can resolve the
Iranian nuclear question.
