  • From the Start menu, click Settings, and choose Dial-Up Networking. (Oprima al menu Start, escoga Settings, y escoga la opción Dial-Up Networking.)

  • Double-click the Make New Connection icon. (Oprima dos veces al icono Make New Connection.)

  • In the Type a name for the computer you are dialing field, type SOFTCOM. (Bajo Type a name for the computer you are dialing, tecle SOFTCOM.)
  • Click the down arrow on the Select a device drop-down list and choose your default modem. (Bajo Select a device, oprima la flecha y escoga a su modem.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • In the Area code field, type in your local area code. (En la sección Area code, asegure que esté en blanco.)
  • In the Telephone number field, type your Softcom access number.Note: Remember to consult with your local telephone company to make sure that the number you choose is a local toll-free call.(En la sección Telephone Number, tecle el número asignado por un representante de Softcom.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • Click the Finish button. (Oprima el botón Finish)

  • Click the SOFTCOM icon with your right mouse button, then choose Properties.(Sobre el icono Softcom, oprima el botón derecho de su mouse y escoga la opción Properties.)

  • Click on the Security tab. (Seleccione la tabula Security)
  • In the User name: field, type in your username. (En la sección Username, tecle su nombre de usuario.)
  • In the Password: field, type in your password. (En la sección Password, tecle su clave.)
  • Click the OK button. (Oprima el botón OK.)

  • Click the SOFTCOM icon with your right mouse button, then choose Create Shortcut.(Sobre el icono Softcom, oprima el botón derecho de su mouse y escoga Create Shortcut.)

  • Click the Yes button. (Seleccione el botón Yes.)

    SOFTCOM Internet Communications is now set up in Dial-Up Networking.
