When we found out there was a chance to participate in one of the most popular events in Wilton, we jumped. The Wilton Firefighters Association Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car show is an annual event with fun activities that brings people together while supporting community organizations.

Held at Fog Willow Farms near Elk Grove, the event will also feature other local businesses and vendors, crafts, a kid’s fun zone, live entertainment, a BBQ lunch, raffles and a silent auction. Fog Willow Farm is located at the end of Cecatra Drive off Green Road in Wilton and offers plenty of room for vendors, activities, the car show, and lots of off-street parking. You can find out more information about the venue and directions at fogwillowfarms.com.

In the past, this popular annual event has donated a portion of its proceeds to local organizations such as the Firefighters Burn Institute, Boy Scouts, the Al Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund, and the Wilton Memorial Rose Garden, supported in part by donations and proceeds from local sponsors. For more information check out the Wilton Firefighter’s Association website.

Softcom team members will be at the event on Saturday, August 26, to share information about our company, our services, and to help people learn about the exciting improvements in high-speed internet access for people who live and work in remote communities. We invite friends, customers and anyone interested in what we do to swing by our booth, ask any questions you might have, and find out more about our advanced technology and rapidly-expanding service areas.

“This isn’t just a fun event, it’s a great way for the community to come together as a whole,” said Kevin Triplett, Softcom President and CEO. “We’re excited that Softcom is able to be a part of something that supports organizations that have done so much for our community, and invite everyone to drop by our booth, meet the team, and learn more about what we do.”
