Welcome to the home page of Don and Cathy Dupree. We live in a small town called Manteca in central California. Don enjoys the game of golf and and I started a small hobby kennel in 1982 called MINDALYN SHETLAND SHEEPDOGS which keeps me busy.

My first sheltie was a CH. Elf Dale Viking granddaughter and it was this dog that instilled the love I have for the breed. With her passing I decided that my next sheltie and I would try our hand at obedience. I quickly learned that this was not what I excelled at (not my sheltie’s fault of course), and at this time, I became fascinated with the conformation ring. I joined the Golden Valley Kennel Club, then the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Northern California and later became an ASSA member.

I love the challenge of breeding a better dog and have always believed in quality, not quantity, so this is done on a small scale. It has been wonderful traveling to new places, meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences with people who have the same love of the breed that I do.
