This car
was built with the 4.2L engine that was common in the large saloon cars.
The transmission is the four speed with an electric overdrive unit. With
the car weighing in at under 2000 lbs., this combination makes for fast,
smooth, exits out of corners. The plans for this unusual car is to go vintage
racing. The fuel cell and safety harnesses are in place. The suspension
has been refurbished with adjustable, pre load and dampening, shocks. I've
found that I can order a Chrome rollover bar directly from Kougar Motor
Cars. I'm also looking for some wheels that are more suitable for racing.

Last year (1998) I was unable to take the Kougar to "Day on the Village Green". My father went to the event but didn't take the car. wouldn't you know it, that was the only time another Kougar showed up. Green in color, right hand drive, from northern california. if this is your car please E-mail me. I have the information that you were looking for.
At the 1999 "Day on the Village Green" I looked at the rules a little closer and found the J.C.N.A has a class for "Replicas and Jaguar based cars". The turn out this year was much smaller that in past years, and the cars just don't look as good indoors without the sun and grass, but it was still a fun event.
